My Thoughts about Digital Literacy
For me, digital literacy means being able to use technology like computers and phones really well, but also knowing how to be smart and safe online. It's not just about knowing how to click buttons and hyperlinks, but also understanding what information is good to trust, how to keep my personal information private, and as well how to avoid plagiarism and copyright infringement. It's like knowing the rules of the game, but for the internet!
Being digitally literate is quite important for my life right now, for school, and for whatever job I might have in the future. In school, it helps me do research for projects, turn in assignments online, and learn new things from educational videos in YouTube or even TikTok. In my everyday life, it helps me stay connected with classmates, friends and family, and even find information quickly through online platforms. For the future, almost every job needs you to know how to use some kind of technology, so it's like a basic skill everyone needs.
In terms of helping others to be digitally literate, I think I can help other people become more digitally literate by sharing what I know in simple ways.
Maybe I could show my grandparents how to video call their relatives or help a friend understand how to check if a website is safe. I could also remind people to think before they share things online, teach them how to avoid plagiarism and copyright infringement in very simple ways. It's about helping each other learn and grow in this digital world.
My thoughts about Digital Literacy in the big 25.
Thorough and practical understanding! Good Job.
